I would rather be corrected than be wrong in public. If something we published is inaccurate, tell us and we will fix it.
How to report one.
Write to corrections@phronia.co. Include the article, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and what you think it should say. If you have a source, send it. A short note with a link is enough.
What we correct.
- Factual errors: wrong numbers, names, dates, titles, and job changes.
- Misattributed or misquoted statements.
- Claims a company or source tells us are wrong, where the record supports them.
- Broken links and citations that no longer point where they should.
- Anything that misrepresents what someone said or did.
Analysis and judgment stay as written.
You are welcome to disagree with a conclusion, and we may write about the disagreement. Disagreeing with a position does not make it wrong, and we do not soften analysis because it landed badly with a vendor or a reader. Correct the facts and the argument follows. Argue with the conclusion and we will have that conversation in public.
How a correction shows up.
Material corrections get a dated note at the foot of the piece: what was wrong, what it says now, and when it changed. We do not quietly edit published work to hide an error. Where a correction reverses the point of a piece, the note says so in plain language, in the same place the original claim appeared.
How quickly.
We aim to review every report within five business days. Reports about something actively misleading get looked at sooner, and so do reports on a piece that is currently circulating.
If you are the subject.
If you work at a company we have written about and you believe we got something wrong, write to the same address. Being the subject of coverage does not change how a report is handled. The standard is whether the claim is accurate, and nothing else. Sponsors, clients, and prospects get the same answer as anyone else, which is the point of the arrangement.
Why this page exists.
Independent analysis is only worth reading if it is willing to be checked. A firm that publishes for years and has never corrected anything is either never wrong or covering for itself. Neither is a reason to trust it. This page is how you check us.
